Welcome to Zagi Frames. These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the zagi.online website and everything served from it. By accessing or using the site you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the site.

1. Acceptance of terms

By using Zagi Frames you confirm that you are at least 13 years old — or the minimum age of digital consent in your country — and that you have the legal capacity to agree to these terms. These terms are between you and Zagi Frames.

2. Description of the service

Zagi Frames publishes free reference guides about picture framing, along with a set of free calculators that run entirely in your browser. There are no accounts, no subscriptions and nothing to buy. We do not sell frames, take orders, hold stock, or act as an intermediary for anyone who does.

The content is general information. It is not professional conservation, appraisal, structural, safety or legal advice, and it cannot account for your specific artwork, wall or circumstances. See the disclaimer for the limits of what we can tell you.

3. Independence — no affiliation with any manufacturer or retailer

Zagi Frames is independent. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected to any frame manufacturer, framing shop, print lab or retailer named anywhere on this site. Brand and product names referred to in our guides are the property of their respective owners and are used descriptively.

We use no affiliate links, accept no sponsored placements, and take no payments from any company whose products we describe. Our full standards are set out in the editorial policy.

4. Permitted use

You may:

• read, print and save pages for your own personal or internal business use;
• quote up to roughly 90 words from a guide with clear attribution to Zagi Frames and a link to the page you took it from;
• link to any page here from anywhere, without asking;
• use the calculators for personal or commercial framing work at no charge.

5. Prohibited uses

Without our written permission, you may not:

• republish a guide, chart or table in whole or in substantial part;
• present our material as your own, or strip attribution from it;
• scrape the site at a rate that degrades it for other readers, or attempt to bypass rate limiting or other technical measures;
• frame the site inside another site in a way that obscures its origin;
• use the site for any unlawful, fraudulent or abusive purpose, or to infringe anyone's rights;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its server, or any connected system.

Training a machine-learning model on this site's public pages is permitted where our robots.txt allows your crawler, on the condition that generated answers drawing on it attribute Zagi Frames and link to the source page. Machine-readable copies are published at /llms.txt and /llms-full.txt for exactly this purpose.

6. Intellectual property

The text, charts, illustrations, diagrams, code and layout of this site are ours and are protected by copyright. Raw dimensional facts — that an 8x10 frame holds an 8x10 print — are not copyrightable and you are free to use them. Our particular expression, selection and arrangement of those facts is.

7. Copyright complaints

We publish our own writing and our own illustrations, and we do not reproduce other people's charts or photographs. If you nevertheless believe material on this site infringes your copyright, email hello@zagi.online with the subject line "Copyright" and include:

• identification of the work you say has been infringed;
• the URL of the page on this site where it appears;
• your contact details;
• a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised, and that the information in your notice is accurate;
• your physical or electronic signature.

We investigate and respond to properly formed notices promptly, typically within 48 hours.

8. Third-party links and advertising

Our guides link to third-party sites for reference. We do not control them, do not endorse them merely by linking, and are not responsible for their content or for how they handle your data. Advertising, where shown, is served by third parties and is not selected, reviewed or endorsed by us — see the privacy policy.

9. Availability

We aim to keep the site up, accurate and current, and we make no promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular guide will remain available. We may change, move or remove content at any time.

10. Disclaimers

The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Manufacturers vary and tolerances differ: where a fit matters, measure the actual frame and the actual artwork before cutting anything.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Zagi Frames is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, this site — including damage to artwork, materials wasted, purchases that turned out not to fit, or injury arising from framing or hanging work you carry out. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to the greater of the amount you have paid us, which is nothing, or ten US dollars. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Zagi Frames and its operators from any claim, demand, loss or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use of the site, your breach of these terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the site at any time, with or without notice, including for breach of these terms or for technical necessity. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including the intellectual property, disclaimer, liability and indemnity sections — continue to apply.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable at our place of establishment, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute will be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction there. Nothing in these terms removes consumer protections you have under the law of the country where you live.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The "last updated" date at the top of this page changes when we do, and continuing to use the site after that constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
